The utopian world is the one of prosperity, equality, an ideal we are all seeking. Dystopia, on the other hand, demonstrates that the public good can be destructive. In this course, we will discuss the major literary works that originated from the two opposite genres. We will explore the concepts, authors, and problematic subjects that pop up in this respect. We will find out how the authors of the past imagined our modern world and why it always appeared tragic.
